People really don’t like having their driveway blocked. Why is it so common?

Driveway blocking, driveway encroachment, the hinderance of residential driveway ingress and egress – call it what you like – is one of the most common driving transgressions. That means there are a lot of unhappy people out there. It happens so frequently on my street in Toronto that four neighbours have posted “Do Not Block Driveway” signs.
