I’ve invented a cocktail, a delicious refreshing beverage which I’m sure will alter the course of history. I want to give it to the world but this goes against my nature which says, “find a way to make money.” So, while I perfect it I’m going to investigate the process of patenting and copyrighting cocktails. Early research indicates that you can’t. You can patent a name but you can’t stop people from taking the same ingredients and just calling it something.
This is just one more example of The Simpsons letting me down with false information (see “Flaming Moe”).
While it’s true I often think “find a way to make money” I equally as often “fail to find a way to make money” so it is more than likely I will simply give my creation to the universe. Here’s a picture of me taken yesterday walking by the Pacific Ocean.
